September 2024 – 3 new apprentices at BICKEL-TEC

At BICKEL-TEC 3, new apprentices for the profession of Body and vehicle mechanics

Two more applicants have been hired from Morocco through the accelerated skilled worker procedure

Also in the new training year 2024, BICKEL GmbH, Rheinau-Helmlingen, has succeeded in recruiting 3 new apprentices for the profession of body and vehicle mechanic.

This vocational training course covers bodywork repairs, as well as the assembly of vehicles, including optional equipment in the field of passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

A profession that, despite artificial intelligence (AI), still requires a lot of manual labor and creativity in the future. In this context, drive technology is irrelevant and remains a core foundation even in vehicles of the next generation. Therefore, the future career prospects are excellent, and with that, the earning potential as well.

For the second time, the management team has selected two candidates from Morocco through the accelerated skilled worker program of the German government. Youssef Jmahri, 22 years old, and Nabil Kartaf, 21 years old, have already completed an automotive apprenticeship in their home country after graduating from high school; however, this apprenticeship is not recognized as equivalent in Germany. They now want to further their training in vehicle construction in Germany and can now envision staying in Germany with BICKEL-TEC after completing the apprenticeship. The skilled worker program through the migration office at the district office and the German embassy in Rabat is indeed very time-consuming, but in the few days they have been here, a very positive attitude towards further acquiring specialized knowledge has already been observed. This is already confirmed by El Mehdi El Amraoui, a recent graduate from Morocco who won the program last year. His language skills are perfect, his certificate from the Gewerbliche Schule Karlsruhe is very impressive, and his level of training is well advanced.

The third trainee, Tarik Samir from Hügelsheim, 17 years old, comes directly from a high school diploma and has foreign roots from Bosnia-Herzegovina. His father has been working in the welding department at BICKEL-TEC for some time now.

He too was interested in getting trained in a trade at a specialist company.

For both apprentices, it is a benefit that BICKEL-TEC, as a contract partner of Daimler Truck AG, exclusively builds new commercial vehicles according to customer specifications in all equipment categories. Furthermore, the assembly department constructs complete platforms, welds them, and assembles them for the transport of lifting platforms, forklifts, and construction machinery. These vehicles are certified by the TüV and are CE-compliant.
